My Very First Youtube Video

Hey guys!! Today I just filmed and posted my very first Youtube video! AHHHHHHHHH!

This is something I've been wanting to do for so so so long. Makeup is the thing in my life that I am most passionate about, it's something that I want to share with the world, and I think Youtube is the best way to do that. I love Blogging, don't get me wrong, but I much prefer filming to writing. I won't stop writing here, I'm simply adding Youtube to my beauty world.

For my first video I wanted to do something simple, so I went with my Everyday Summer Makeup look! I've been wearing this look super often this summer, since it gives me a nice bronzy glow, yet doesn't feel like I've packed tons of product on my face!

It would mean the world to me if you could watch my new video and subscribe to my channel!

See you guys soon,

May Faves

It's that time of the month again! Here are the products I've been loving in May;

For my foundation I've been loving the Maybelline Matte and Poreless (shade 120), I have oily skin and it has been working really well at keeping me matte throughout the hot days here. Concealer wise, I have 2 loves this month Maybelline Master Conceal, which I set with the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder to give me a flawless undereye.

To bronze up my face and contour I've been using my tried and true Hoola Bronzer. My favorite product of the month though has to be the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette. This gives my face the nicest, most natural glow ever and I am truly obsessed. I don't think I applied blush one time this month... is that weird? I guess I've been more into the bronzy look than the flushed healthy look.

Let me know what you've been loving this month in the comments!

How I Deal With Stress

If there is one thing I have never dealt well with in my life, it is stress. I have had many breakdowns throughout high school and college, and I don't  think it's going to ever be something I cope well with but I have definitely come up with a few tips and tricks along the way that I thought I would share with you guys!
  • Do my homework ahead of time:
    • This is a preventative step, but it is by far the most important one. I am someone who always leaves all of my homework for Sunday night, and then never have time to do it all AND get a decent amount of sleep (which college student does anyways?). I highly recommend doing your homework asap when you get it, or at least not leaving it all for the same day. There is no better feeling than remembering you have homework and realizing you already did it (also a great moment to high five yourself).
  • Make a list:
    • When I’m stressed it often because I feel like I have too much to do and not enough time. One way I can calm myself is making a list of everything I have to do, this not only organizes everything I need to do but it also makes it more visual. Also, a lot of time I realize I have a lot less stuff than I thought I had to do, and there is nothing more satisfying than crossing something off your list. (extra tip: Organize your list in order of priority, this gives you a better sense of what you have to do first and what can wait)
  • Hang out with friends:
    • Sometimes life in general is just stressful. Whether the guy you’re into isn't texting you back, your parents are cracking down on you for stuff you’re already down on yourself for, school is being hard, or any of the other million reasons people can be stressed for, one of my favorite solutions is hanging out with my best friend. For me, my best friend is someone I can always depend on to make me laugh, forget my problems, and just be overall happy. We have definitely helped each other get through hard times, we've laughed together and we've cried together, I know she’s someone who will always understand what I’m going through and will always be there for me.
  • Have some 'Me' time:
    • 'Me' time is my favorite time of the day! I think of ‘Me’ time as being time put away just for yourself, to do your own thing. Some of my personal ‘Me’ time activities are dancing/singing to very loud music (I’m talking seriously loud), doing my makeup, pampering myself (going all out in the shower, face masks, using my fanciest moisturizers, doing my nails, etc.) There are honestly endless possibilities for ‘Me’ time activities, you just have to find what works for you!
There are a few tips for you guys for dealing/preventing stress! It’s really all about finding what works best for you as everyone is different, but I hope this post gave you a few new ideas! Let me know in the comments some ways you deal with stress, because I’m always looking for new things to try!

Online Beauty Haul!

I have a confession...I am addicted to online shopping. I can spend hours finding solid deals online for all things fashion and beauty, and believe me I have found some amazing stuff! Keep on reading to see the latest damage I've done!

The first things I got this month was my Ipsy Glam Bag, I always love everything that comes in these bags and this month was no exception! This month I received NYC Big Bold Curl mascara, Starlooks lip gloss, Nicole by OPI nail polish, Ayres body butter, and Epice exfoliant. I can't wait to try all of these products out and if you guys want I can post a review on this months bag in another post!

The second order I receiver was from Hautelook, they always have amazing sales on products, but I always look at the beauty section. I've been wanting some new makeup brushes and foundation for a while not and what  bought exceeded my expectations! These Crown brushes and foundation are both amazing quality. I've used both almost every day since I received them and I'm still loving them!

Of course when I heard Zoella was coming out with Zoella Beauty I knew I had to get on that pronto, and that is exactly what I did! I ordered a makeup  bag, body lotion, and a bath and shower cream. The range smells amazing and I love every product I bought, I might have to go back and buy the other items in the range! Hopefully her range continues to grow so we can all have some more amazing smelling, great quality beauty products in our lives!

Thanks for reading about my insane shopping habits and until next time,

Autumn Wardrobe

With the change of season comes the change of clothing; so with the change to Autumn it's time to bring out the Autumn clothes! Autumn clothes are by far my favorite, they're the most comfortable of all the seasons and there's nothing better than layering!

There's nothing better than feeling snuggly, especially at school, so why not try and be stylish at the same time? Here are a few of my favorite autumn clothing pieces:

First and foremost, what are you doing in Autumn if you don't have a scarf? This is an essential part of all my outfits during the fall, as it brings so much warmth and comfort to the outfit. (They can also be used as pillows in class but shhh) Two of my favorites are the dark blue one, which is a lighter material so it's not too warm, and the white and black one from garage, I don't think they carry this one anymore but they have some other similar ones here, this one is a thick knit scarf so it's very warm and cuddly.

There are so many options for shirts at this time of year, but the 3 I wear most often are pullovers and button downs. My 2 favorite pullovers are the grey one with small rhinestones from forever 21 and the white and black knit from garage. These are so effortless, look good with any type of pants and are super comfortable (a word you will see a lot in this blog). The next are button downs, I love this plaid shirt from garage (similar) because it's really soft, comfortable and the colors combination is unique.

I'm sure by now you can guess what my number 1 criteria is for  pants....comfort! My favorite fall pants are leggings and jeans. My absolute favorite leggings are these velvet leggings from garage, they're surprisingly warm and comfortable. When those are in the wash I opt for my regular cotton leggings, also from garage, and these are just your typical legging, stretchy and comfy! I find jeans really comfortable as long as you have the right fit. For blue jeans my favorite are from Levi's, these are such a staple in my closet and I think everyone should have a a good pair of basic blue jeans. When I don't wear blue jeans I look towards my too big selection of black jeans. I wear black jeans at least 3 or 4 times a week, therefore I have a lot of black jeans! My all time favorite however are from the gap. They're high waisted and are actual jean material, not jeggings, but they are the only high-waisted jeans I own that actually fit me properly. If I could only have 1 pair of jeans for the rest of my life it would be those.

There you have it, my favorite autumnal clothing items! I swear I'm not sponsored by Garage, I just shop there way too often haha!

See you soon lovelies

September Favorites

Well guys, tomorrow is October (already?!?!), which means it's time for September favorites! September is an odd month here in Montreal, we start to emotionally say goodbye to summer, we prepare for the colder weather and start to get excited for autumn! However, sometimes summer makes a little comeback in September, so it can be tricky to manage and mentally confusing...am I excited it's still summer or can I just not wait for autumn?? (spoiler alert: it's the second one.)

Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette
Where to start with this palette? If you have been on beauty blog in the past couple of years, I can guarantee you have seen this palette! It’s one of the best neutral palettes out there and I think it’s safe to say it’s a staple in a lot of peoples makeup bags. I came in very late to the Naked palette hype, but I totally understand why it’s everywhere and I fell in love with it the moment I started using it.

Too Faced Boudoir Eyes Palette
I’ve had this palette for a couple months now and never seemed to reach for it, until I got the Naked palette. They complement each other really well and what you can’t find in one palette you will in the other.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer
I wear this bronzer everyday, unless I’m wearing no makeup (duh). It’s such an effortless bronzer that goes really well with my skin tone, lasts all day and has great color payoff! Great job Benefit!

Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo
I have oily eye lids, therefore, there’s really no point of wearing eye shadow if I don’t wear a primer, because it won’t even last me half the day. On days that I wear darker eye shadow looks I reach for this product as a base. It’s a taupe color, that applies really well, controls my oil, holds shadow really well AND has a great price tag!

Maybelline Falsies + Covergirl Lash Blast Mascara
These were my 2 go-to mascaras this month. The Falsies gives me great volume and the Lash Blast gives me great length and separation, together they have been working perfectly to give me voluminous fluttery lashes all month long!

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Polish
I love gel and shellac nail polish, but I hate the fact that you have to either go to a salon or buy a machine, both of which can be quite expensive. When I say this 2 step gel nail polish on the shelf, I knew I had to have it! I love this red color for autumn, what better season is there to wear burgundy? The black nail polish in the picture is the second step, which is the gel activator part. My nails are very frail and short, so they chip like no tomorrow, but when I wear this gel nail polish, it lasts all week with no chipping!

Bath & Body Works Sweater Weather Candle
This candle is the perfect autumn scent! The sales clerk at Bath & Body Works told me it’s one of their most popular fall candles, and I can definitely smell why. I’m not very good at describing scents, but to me this smells like a fresh, warm hug!

Now it's time to go snuggle up with a book, some tea, and a warm fuzzy blanket

Thanks for reading,
